November has been a fun month. Olivia is almost one. She can say, mama, dada, doggie, hi, and occasionally says papa or bubba. She moves her hand to her mouth and makes an "indian sound". Over the weekend it was like she learned that if she puts her hands up that means "pick me up" so now she comes up to us and puts her hands up with a huge smile on her face and when we pick her up she laughs, struggles to get back down just to put her hands up again for us to pick her up! On Saturday morning the kids were downstairs with Chris and I asked Nick if he wanted to take Hank and P on a walk, so he comes up and there at the bottom of the gate Olivia is putting her arms up, but when I didn't pick her up and she realized she was not going...total melt down! awww :(
Nick is very excited for Christmas. He has been talking about Santa a lot. The other day he said: "Mom, God made Santa" and when I said "yep" he said "yep" He always repeats your last word! Another example would be, if he asked for something and you said yes, he would say thank you and when you say you're welcome, he says you're welcome! He says a lot of things that I think are funny and I need to remember to write them down. Last night he was wearing his star wars pajama pants and Chris was wearing his plaid pajama pants. Nick says "hey dad, your pants are like mine except you have regaly (regular) ones and I have star wars ones" So if anyone was wondering another name for plaid pajama pants it is "regular" He still loves star wars just as much as he used to and we play "real star wars" all the time. He also likes to play bubble guppies still, which is me pretending to be mr gruper and he is usually a stormtrooper as I talk to the bubble guppies. Seeing the star wars guys at the KC zoo really had an impact on him. He talks about it a lot and will pretend to be a (you guessed it) a stormtrooper and ask me to ask him if I can have my picture taken with him.
Here are just a few pictures from this month:
We have so much fake food now that we keep it in this box. I can't keep Olivia out of it!
Nick and Olivia have so many toys, sometimes I think they have so many they don't know what to play with so I put some in the closet to rotate out every once in awhile. Now they want to play in the closet.
Olivia LOVES this wagon, I see her climbing in it a lot. She loves the doll clothes and tries to dress herself. The other day, one of the girls I watch took their socks off and she tried to put them on herself, the right way even! :)
And ofcourse we can't forget about the kitchen
Olivia and Nick playing on Sunday night! We moved the Chris' star wars guys into the office bc Olivia will not stop playing with them! She is either into Chris' guys or Nick's guys....another star wars fanatic????
Olivia playing with Nick's "star wars guys"
The Grass Craft: I saw this on pinterest. You make face cups and plant grass then you can give them haircuts or put their "hair" in pigtails. This is after one week.
| Olivia's really started growing (probably bc I did hers and nick did his own) |
OH and we installed our new sink and faucet!
