Pumpkin Patch

We went to Cox Farms on Saturday to visit the pumpkin patch with David, Cynthia and Ethan.

 

The "petting zoo" that is what they called it anyway.

Nick found the maze.

He stayed inside the tunnel for a long time.

I finally convinced him to come out

Then he went on the cow ride!

and like the fish ride...he didn't want to get off. So worth the tears though when you see him smile from ear to ear during the ride.

I even talked Chris into getting a picture taken in one of these!

Shh. They are sleeping.

As I put Nick to bed tonight I immediatley thought it was going to be a struggle. He didn't take an afternoon nap and was quite grumpy.  I put him in his bed and he stood up and grabbed all of his stuffed animals, layed them carefully on his pillow, looked at me with his finger on his mouth and whispered "shh mama, they sleeping" I whispered "okay" He then sat down and squeezed himself in right between them, layed down and said "night night mama I wuv you."

This day didn't exactly go as planned for Chris, me and Nick. We had pictures scheduled which ran us a little late but we made it just in time to catch the last part of her presents and to sing Happy Birthday to our perfect little Niece!

More Birthday Celebrations

First of all let me start with telling all of our friends and family how blessed we are to have you in our life. Thank you for loving Nicholas and making his birthday special. My hope is that he will take a look at this blog when he is older and know how special he is to all of us.

Unfortunately my mom has been sick and I know she really wanted to join in on his celebration. (Mom, I love you and we will make sure you get some time with Nicholas this month or next month!)

Friday night Alison came to town really late. Nicholas was sleeping BUT the next morning he woke up to a BIG BIRTHDAY SURPRISE from his Auntie Ali.

 

And then came Sunday. He saw his Papa, Great Aunt Susan and Great Gramma.

 

Again, thank you to everyone. I can't wait to see my mom and have her enjoy a day pain free with Nicholas.

Nick's Birthday Vacation

I have the best brother and sister in law in the world. About a month ago, we decided to take Nicholas to Kansas City for a birthday vacation. Stephanie texted me to ask if we would mind if she and the girls made a cake for him. We arrived Saturday night to find balloons and presents! The next day Andy took us to a petting zoo. We had so much fun! We are so thankful for you guys!

C3PO

A few months ago Chris took Nick to Juanita's house and Nick found C3PO in an old box down in the basement. Ever since then C3PO goes everywhere Nick does.

Oh and that is his Star Wars jacket that he picked out this morning!

Every Single Day, Nick asks to watch Star Wars. Here he is snuggled in his Star Wars blanket on this cold afternoon!

Nick's 1st Carnival Ride

Nick went on his frist ride Friday night. I was shocked at how well he did. When we got there he immediately went to the cars and he wanted to ride them so badly that he tried to climb under the fence. He was too little to ride them though, so we took him to a different ride, the carousel. He loved it immediately ofcourse, because of the horses. Then he rode on the fish ride. I wasn't sure how he would react going by himself, but he loved every minute of it and then kicked and screamed when it was time to get off of it.
