I am finally getting to post some pictures from when we went to visit my sisters in Texas. My sister Alison took me and Nicholas to the zoo. They have a dinosaur exibit and since my sisters have nick named my son "Ty Rex" we just HAD to go!

6 month check up
16 lbs 4 oz.
26" long
Less than I thought but still growing way too fast for me!
He cried for about 2 seconds after the shots and then looked at the nurses and smiled! Little flirt!!!

Cherish Every Moment
It has been a LONG time since I have had to get up in the middle of the night.
The past few nights Nicholas has been waking up HUNGRY. My sister-in-law told me this would happen. We went there last month and he slept and slept and slept. She told me that he would do that and then next month he would be hungry all the time.
I am not complaining. I actually LOVE this. He is such a cuddle bug and I miss holding him for long periods of time and just enjoying the time I have with him. He is getting so big. When he sees his bottle he grabs it and wants to hold it by himself. He doesn't want to sit he wants to stand or be walked around. When I lay him down he reaches his arms out for me (that is the cutest thing ever)I don't want him to get any bigger!
UPDATE: he still has a stuffed up nose I think most of it is just allergies....poor baby. Atleast he has a comfortable place to be!

Over The Weekend
Over the weekend I must have caught a cold. My nose has been all stuffed up and my throat felt like it was on fire! (could it be all the wind and weather changes-it was freezing here on Friday)
After sleeping ALL day today I feel much better. While putting Nicholas to bed tonight I noticed his runny nose and trouble breathing with his pacifier in his mouth-he finally went to sleep without the pacifier!
Please keep him in your prayers.....colds are the worst-they seem to drag on forever!

For a Good Cause
A friend of mine and I went to a wine tasting event at Terradyne last night.
The Rotary Club of Andover has thrown this event every year (the past 3 that I have known of) to raise money to minimize the cases of polio world wide. I was very interested in this b/c my dad had polio when he was a child.
I love going to events and being social. I also love going to events that I feel make a difference in others lives!

Sweet Feet
I posted a picture of Nicholas earlier counting his toes!!!
I was wondering if he was ever going to find his feet.
About 3 days ago I had some monkey pajamas on him (they have monkeys on the feet)he put his feet in the air and looked at them very cautiously-never touched them though.
The next night I had him in baseball pajamas (shoe laces on his feet) he again, put his feet in the air and looked at them. The next night I had pajamas on him that did not cover his feet and BAM up came the feet and out went the hands! Now everytime I see him he has his feet in his hands. This morning I came in to pick him up and he looked at me with his feet in the air and said "AAAAYYYYY" Well "hey to you too Nicholas"

Progress
We started painting this past weekend. Wall on the right is what it used to be.
Quite a difference!
Once the main area is painted I need to find a paint color to paint the front door and possibly find an accent color for the bay window!
Tonight I am moving on to the door knobs-Step 1 Primer!
