Happy Birthday to Me

I turned 29 this month! Unfortunately, it was Chris' week in Oklahoma so he was not here to celebrate with us. A friend of mine brought over some very large cupcakes though, so the kids had no problem celebrating with me!

Yep

Is someone spying on me? This article pretty much sums it up. If you ask any of my friends they will tell you that the majority of our phone calls are on my way to target or on the way back home from target....about 3 nights a week. :-)

Valentines Party!

On Friday we started the day off with a surprise Valentines Day party. The house was full of balloons and the table full of crafts to complete for parents gifts! We started with these cute little magnets:
a heart made with their thumbs.

Then we made noodle necklaces:

of course we made our holiday canvas':
(you can also see how addy's necklace turned out)

(paisley is wearing the necklace she made too)
and since I am now obsessed with taking pictures on a black background, I am posting just a few that the girls gave to their parents for Valentines Day too:

It was a great day full of fun! Hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day too!

Bake Sale for Missions

As many of you know, I have decided to go to Peru on a missions trip this summer. Last Saturday our group had our first fundraiser. A bake sale. I decided to make chocolate cookies made with yellow cake mix. A friend of mine made them and they were so good. Now, I am not the worlds best baker as my husband will tell you, and though the cookies I made tasted great, they were not all the same size! Ha Ha. The sign I made looked okay though!

I ended up packaging 4 large cookies in one bag and 6 of the tiny cookies in one bag, Grandma, aren't you proud?

All bundled up to sell some baked goods
The weather was freezing and raining but the bake sale was a huge success. Everything was priced for donation and everyone who came by was very generous.

In Slow Motion

Reaching...

"mom, you don't see me..."
 "Got it..."
She knows she is not supposed to play with brothers guys but nobody said anything about this bucket thing....(pretty sure we have another Star Wars fan in the house)

Polka Dots

She is at the stage where she just wants her blanket and polka dots all the time! (Nick has a baby blanket and a polka dot blanket too, to specify when he wanted the polka dotted blanket he would say, "mom, where are my polka dots?" So I am sure Olivia will start calling hers polka dots too!)

The girls I watch carry their blankets around all day. Olivia is so proud of herself when she is acting like a big kid so I think that may be why when I get her from her crib, she wants to take her blankets with her! :-)
a little over a year ago...
and now...

Always Cheesin

Even if I am clear across the room, she can hear the camera turn on and instantly looks at it and smiles...unless ofcourse she is on black fabric!

Nick also loves the camera. Instead of cheesing it up though, he says: "mom take a picture of me doing this":
