Nick Has Fun Painting
Nicholas: "What we going to do?"
Nicholas:"I get to paint? Oh Boy!!!"
Nicholas:"Okay, so let me get this straight....this is my paint."
Nicholas: "and this is my canvas."
Nicholas:"hmmm which paint color should I use first?"
Nicholas:"Oh I'll just mix them together."
Nicholas:"UMMMM....This is PWETTY SLIMEY"
Nicholas:"well, here it goes."
Nicholas: "There How's that look?"
Nicholas: "I think that looks pwetty good."
Nicholas: "Wait, what did you say?"
Nicholas: "I've got paint all over me? You've got to be Kiddingk me"
Nicholas: "Mommy's going to be pretty mad heee hee hee"
Nicholas: "Oh...Hi Mommy-Look what I made for you!!!!"

What's New w/ the Elliott Family?
1)On Friday 18th I turned 25
2)Nicholas has found his voice and is more vocal everyday
3)Nicholas has started moving his butt in the air and bending his knees to get in a crawling position, he just can't figure out what to do with his arms!
4)We have noticed that Nicholas uses his left hand for EVERYTHING. It is very rare that we see him use his right hand to hold or reach for anything.
5)I picked out the paint color to paint our bedroom-Artisan Tan!
6)My brother brought his girlfriend-Kristen home to meet the family last week! AND we Love her!
7)Nicholas has started eating rice cereal!

Homemade/My 1st Sewing Project
A few weeks ago I told you about my new sewing machine! Well........I sewed something for the 1st time since I was ooooh I don't know maybe 12!!!!!!!!
Thanks to my Grandma for teaching me the basics-Got to ask you though...."HOW THE HECK TO YOU THREAD THE MACHINE?" you must have great eye sight!!!!
And a special thanks to my husband for not only buying the machine for me but cleaning out a space for me to create this wonderful masterpiece!!!
Here is my craft room (for the time being)
and here is proof of the countless hours I spent trying to thread bobbin and the machine. I spent so much time trying to get it right-I finally just gave up and went to bed and tackled the project in the morning.

Here is the finished project: A Chicago Bears Blanket for Nicholas!
All of his blankets are so small and I wanted him to have something he could use well into his toddler years!
I know....I know....sewing 2 pieces of fabric together doesn't sound so hard and I hate to tell you....it's not hard. Not at all. The hard part is getting the sewing machine ready! LOL!!!

On Our Way to Grandma's House
Last Thursday Nicholas and I decided to suprise my mom. So we packed a bag and some toys and took a little trip to Haven, KS.
When we got there (since we didn't call first) she wasn't home.
I figured it wouldn't be too long before she got home so we waited! And waited....and waited...and then I decided to take some picures!!!
After the pictures and a few songs in the mirror we decided to go see my favorite neighbors-The Richardson Family.

We then came back to my Mom's and as you can see from the look on her face-She was Happy! ("I think we made her day Nick!")

Super Bowl Sunday
I would say that this is Nicholas' first Super Bowl-but I would be lying!
Last year on Super Bowl Sunday we found out we were going to have a baby! That is a pretty cool day to find something like that out don't you think? How could you ever forget?!?!?!?
This year we were invited to a party by some neighbors around our block, Karen and Jerry. It was really nice to meet some other people in the neighborhood. We had a really good time-even though the Packers won the game! :-)
