What's New

Most of you know that I am no longer working for the dental office and I haven't been for over a month now. So what have I been up to?
I am enjoying my time with Nicholas and I am soaking up the time I have to be a stay at home mom! Every morning with him is great-I really don't want to go back to work!
For now the reality is that I have to bring some money in. So I am working 10 hours a week for a financial advisor in Andover and am helping a friend launch a campaign for Andover. So 3 hours a day I am doing that and the rest of my time is spent with my family!

I have lost a total of 25 lbs and would like to lose 10 more to be at an ideal weight for a 5 foot girl! I have been working on it since Memorial Weekend and I must say that I feel better than I have felt in years! In March I couldn't run to a driveway without losing my breath, now I can run 1/2 a mile at a time. I am interested in running in the GAD (greater andover days) Fun Run on Saturday October 1st. I believe it is a 2 mile run.

I have started planning Nicholas' 1st Birthday Party and even completed a homemade birthday banner for him! I can't believe he will be ONE next month! It's sad and exciting all at the same time!

My sister Alison is coming to town this weekend! I can't wait to see her and have some sister time! I am thinking Chili Cheese Fries from Bogey's! Katie-would you like to join?

Ear Infection

After the saline wash Nicholas seemed to breathe worse than he did before. He was up all night, nothing would calm him down. I decided to take him to the dr in the morning. The morning was definately different than usual. Nicholas was so tired understandably so we just layed around in the morning instead of playing. He was breathing better though. I decided to take him to the dr anyway.
We first went to see Dr Jamie (an adjustment always makes things better) then we went to see Dr Landers. She looked in his ears and said he had an infection in the left ear.
She prescribed amoxicillian.
He is feeling much better now. He is more tired now than usual but when he is awake he is happy and playful.

Saline Wash

We did a saline wash for the first time on Nicholas tonight! IT WAS AWFUL!
My poor little child has been so congested for the past few days I just wanted to make him feel better. I don't know who cried the longest.... me or him. I am still very very shaken up by the whole event. He is deathly afraid of anything I put up to his face and I just want to take it all back and start the day over.
If you received a missed call from me tonight-it was just me being a very over reacting mother who needed advice from a new or recent mommy! Thank you Amanda for helping me calm down and reassuring me!

Feeling Crafty...

I was at my mother in law's the other day, flipping through a Martha Stewart magazine when I found this...

I am not a huge jewelry person. I like very dainty pieces. This seemed to jump out at me though.

It seems pretty simple to make and very summery! I think I will give it a try this weekend!
