October has been a crazy fun month. It started with Olivia taking her first steps. She would take 3 steps at a time off and on throughout the day. She still doesn't trust herself too much, she got up to 8 steps today though! My nephew, Max was born on October 3rd 6 lbs 15 oz and 19.8 inches. My niece, Saydee turned 3 on the 14th, and we celebrated Nick's 4th Birthday!
The day of Nick's birthday we had a party with his friends at Pump It Up and Tatum and Ashlyn came over for a slumber party. He received a gift from his grandparents in the mail, the walkie talkies were his favorite, he used them to play "real star wars" and we play with them every day now (I have a pretty cute video of this, but the site I used to use for videos is no longer in business, I need to look up another site to upload them). And his papa came to visit and bring him a "Star Lord" toy from "Guardians of the Galaxy" this was the first Nick had ever heard of this "Star Lord" character but he is now hooked and wants to be him for halloween.
The following weekend we went to Kansas City and stayed with Andy, Steph and the girls like we always do on his birthday for a small celebration. We had planned to go to the Omaha Zoo but decided that going to the Kansas City Zoo would be better this year with Olivia. And we had never been to the zoo in Kansas City so it was just as special. It was actually perfect because when we arrived we saw Star Wars characters. It was Star Wars Day at the zoo. How perfect is that?! He brags about seeing them to anyone who will listen. He kept asking how they got there. He is convinced they rode in the millenium falcon from a galaxy far far away! Nick was too scared to say hi to them or get his picture taken with one of them :-( ...but Chris wasn't :-) pictures to follow:
