Sister, Sister, Never Knew How Much I Missed Ya!

There once was a girl named Alison
There were times, she didn't want to be bothered
and times when she wanted to have fun

but most of the time we were side by side.

One day she moved to Texas and she was there for more than 3 years
She would come back to celebrate our birthdays

and I would go to Texas to visit her

Then one day (pretty recently) she decided that she missed me sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much that she put her notice in at work and is moving back in 10 DAYS!!!!!

I am sure that I am not the only factor in her decision but that is not my story to tell!
(Mom: get your coffee mugs out I have a feeling there will be a lot of coffee time coming up!)

The After Party (hurst wedding)

Chris and I went to a wedding over the weekend for our friends C.J. and Christina Hurst. It was in Lawerence, KS and I was a bridesmaid so we stayed a few nights at the Holiday Inn, while Nicholas was at home with my sister. It was hard leaving him for the 2 days and nights but I survived and even managed to have a little fun!We met up with some of our old friends. Here are a few pictures of the night. Pictures from the wedding and my dress.... well, that is another story for another time!

we ordered pizza at Paddy O'Quigley's.
1 hamburger
1 pepperoni
well atleast that's what we thought

as you can see they didn't add too much meat on the pizza not to mention it tasted like spaghetti'o's

and who could forget those shoulder blades! I actually beat this guy at pool without making any of the balls in the hole!

20 Months Old

Nicholas was in bed by 7 tonight. Which is one hour earlier than usual. This kid would not take a nap today. He wasn't paticulary cranky, just on the go go go.

Nicholas LOVES playing with his hot wheels. We have a cool little race track that we bought at a garage sale last month and he puts his cars on it and plays with it numerous times a day. He loves to look at the window and point to every single car that passes by each time saying: car, car, mama do you see car. He loves to get into the snack cabinet and get all the snack bags out one by one. I will give him a snack sometimes and when I do, he loves feeding it to the dogs :-) Tonight I rearranged the snack cabinet and put dog treats in it and put his snacks up in a higher cabinet! He can say a lot of words and and a couple of sentences (that I atleast can understand).

I find Nicholas playing by himself more and more when I am making lunch or dinner. He used to just be right by my side so this is new to me. I look around the corner to check on him and he is just in his room or in the living room playing. It is so cute to watch him do things when he thinks no one is watching!
It's exhausting to be 20 months old!

Date Night

Chris and I went on a date last night! We have been trying to keep up with our date nights but with all the events we are in this year it has been hard to find the money and the time to go. I told him I wanted to do something other than go out to eat and he has been talking about how he wanted to go fishing for weeks now. So we went fishing!

Chris caught this big bad cat fish

And I caught this ity bity fish! (please excuse the bug on my face)

Summer Time With Saydee

Aunt Ali came to town to play with Nick and Saydee so we went to Katie's and she played and played
and played
Then Aunt Katie got the pool out and asked Nick and Saydee if they wanted to go swimming. They listened to every word.
And Saydee said "YAAAAA"
Nick thought it was a good idea too, so they played and played
and played. But then Nicholas fell because he wouldn't stop running.
So it was time to get out and cuddle with their mommies.
