Tanganika

We went to Tanganika last weekend with my family! Nick's favorite part? The park. They have this extremely tall park equipment. I was really surprised that he climbed up to the tallest level. He thought the lemurs were pretty cool too!

Catching Up

August flew by very quickly. I can't believe that in just 17 days Olivia will be 9 months and in just a month Nick will be FOUR! Here a just a few pics from August.

"stormtrooper face"-asks me all the time to take a picture of him making this face!

A New Kitchen

It's kind of a big deal!

The Girls

Then
Now
Then
 Now

Love them. All of them.

They have changed a lot in just 6 months!

Life Lately

A few things I have been meaning to share with everyone!
Olivia started crawling on July 27th. Within a few days she started crawling to tables and chairs to pull herself up. Yesterday she started walking around her music table (holding on for dear life ofcourse as she moved her way around) :-) Today she stood by herself for 6 seconds. Am I going to have a walker soon?!?

Nick continues to amaze me everyday. It's the little things he does or says throughout the day that melt my heart OR the little things he does or says throughout the day that makes me boil! :-) He has grown up so much and I can't believe he is going to be four in a couple of months! His favorite shows these days are Star Wars, Transformers (mainly bumblebee), Bubble Guppies, Team Umizumi, Paw Patrol, and Peter Rabbit.
His favorite things to play right now are: "Real Star Wars"-which is acting like stormtroopers and jedis.
"Playing with his guys"-which is playing with his star wars figures. ("Yoda is the toughest guy").
He loves playing "Bubble Guppies Animal School Day"-which usually involves him taking all the pillows in the house and all the couch cushions and making a fence. I am Mr Gruper, the teacher from Bubble Guppies having a conversation with the bubble guppies about the animals (I have a talent for sounding like the character he wants me to be, whether it is the jedi he wants me to be, a stormtrooper, a battle droid, or a large gold fish teacher or atleast he thinks I sound like them) While I am Mr Gruper, he tells me what to say. It is usually something like this:
"Mom say : Mr Gruper, look at those frogs."
I say that and then say:
"Yes Gill, those frogs jump really high"
"say, mr gruper those frogs are turning into transformers" etc. etc.
It is pretty long and drawn out as you can see. He has so much fun doing this.

Chris and I are still working on the house. We are getting carpet in the kids room next week. I pulled up the carpet in our room, we are waiting to put new flooring in there for now. I go back and forth on whether or not I want carpet or wood but I am not going to walk on the old carpet while i decide. It is pretty bad when you walk down the hall, see our subflooring and think "wow, that looks good" :-)
The staining is done, just need to put the new kitchen sink and faucet in and I promise the house will be done! :-)

Payton and Hank are doing well too. They definately don't get the attention they used to. That makes me sad, but they do get a lot of snuggle time at night once the kids have gone to bed! I think that is their favorite part of the day!

Our days go by so fast and are filled from the minute we wake up til the minute we go to bed, and though some days are a little harder than others, we are loving every minute of it!

When We Wake Up

This is how we start our morning everyday!

Beauty Salon

What little girl would not want to play with this beauty salon? Just one of those items I wish they still made today! If I remember correctly, this is double sided! Would be great for the girls in a year or 2.

Before Bed

What I walked downstairs to this evening:
Too cute right?
