On Wednesday we drove back to Nebraska with Chris to spend a few days there, unplug and just spend time with the four of us (well the 3 of us while Chris was at work). It was really nice to not have any house distractions going on. We played lots of games of memory and battleship and played in the snow-its been a couple of years since we've had the chance to do that!
The car ride was about 5 hrs with stopping 3-4 times. It was pretty noisy with "Made you look, Made you look, now your in the baby book" which is a new phrase Nick has learned at school and ofcourse it gets repeated by both of them constantly! Also, a new one is Hey Mom: "What?" "You said the nerd word-you said the nerd word." (I have no idea what the point is or how they even come up with it-but of course I play) There is something about putting yourself in a kids perspective that makes family time the most joyous time! I loved these past few days with them!
