34

On my 34th birthday I woke up to 6 boxes of my favorite drinks and cards from Nick and Liv. 

 On Friday is was the principal’s birthday. I made this birthday banner for her and filled her office with balloons. 

 She moved it to my door the night before my birthday with some changes made on paper! 😂

Note* the Nebraska home sign is because we are moving back to Kansas! 

Can you believe we wore the same outfit?! Unplanned of course! 

 Chris and the kids took me out to eat for my birthday! Great time as usual! 

34 is going to be a great year!! I am going to miss working at this school and the school the my kids attend but I am ready to see what this year holds for us! 

Our days at school

I love working at the school my kids attend. I love being able to see the fun things throughout the day that I would otherwise miss. They love being able to head to the office to hand out birthday treats and they love seeing me in the halls! Olivia likes to dress up like me every so often and show everyone we are like twins! “ yeah girl”

Merry Christmas!

We made it back to Kansas for Christmas this year. Last year we stayed in Nebraska due to weather. The weather this year was so nice-I didn’t wear a coat the entire time we were there. 

Nick, Liv and I came back early and stayed with some friends. We saw my dad, some friends, made a visit to Santa, went swimming, went to a trampoline park! It was a nice start to winter break! We had our annual Christmas Eve party with Chris’ aunts and cousins and then Christmas Day Andy and his family came to town! 

Christmas wasn’t over yet! When we got home we realized that Santa came to our house too!! 

Nick and Olivia played the game of LIFE in Colorado over the summer at our friends, Brad and Nancy’s house. They had been asking for the game since!
One more week off for break! I imagine we will be playing a lot of games and having many Star Wars battles!!

6 Years Old!

Olivia turned 6 years old!! 

She had some friends over for a picnic birthday to celebrate! 

9 Years Old

Nick turned 9 years old! 

For his birthday he wanted pancakes from McDonald’s for breakfast and a captain rex cake. 

Pawsitive Panther

Nick and Olivia have already received Pawsitive Panther in their class! 

School is going great. Olivia is such a good friend! She is one of the highest readers in her class and absolutely LOVES school. Nick is loving school too. He still loves math the best. He gets to sit beside his best friend in school and is also a very good friend!! They are both so wonderful and I am so happy they are thriving after our move here!

Olivia has made friends very quickly. One day she saw a little girl in her class who  was sitting alone. She said to her: “do you have a friend yet?” The girl said “no, I haven’t found a friend yet?” Olivia 

then said:  “do you want to be ours?” Doesn’t that just melt your heart!!

Nick continues to be one of those people who everyone considers a friend and someone who sees absolutely no disability in another. He gets along with everyone but only has a few close friends. Very wise and very confident.

I am so thankful for the characteristics God has given them and I pray that they always keep that confidence in who they are!

Nick’s Golf Tournament

Nick played golf this summer. They had golf lessons at a golf course here and then at the end the teams played in a 9 hole tournament. Nick’s team ended up winning within their age group!
