A Day at the Lake

We spent the day at El Dorado Lake yesterday. Both of my loves surprise every day! Nick did great. He immediatley wanted to get in the water and swim "all by himself" He wanted to climb in and out of the boat "all by himself" It is so fun watching him grow up but everyday it seems like he is taking major steps and it is going a bit to fast for this mama! My other love, Chris, he NEVER gets in the lake. We have been maybe 10 x since we have been together, which I would say is a lot. This was the first time I have ever seen him jump in the water willingly! A day like yesterday makes me take it all in and cherish that I am truly so happy with my life and my handsome boys!

Nick had a chiropractic appointment this last week. It was by far the best appointment he has had. He laid on the table and let Dr Jamie adjust his back. He laughed and talked and listened. He also learned that he could adjust or as he calls it "fix" his star wars guys and dinosaur. Ever since we got back home after his appointment he has been obsessed with playing doctor. Really wish I had some pictures of him playing doctor but I am usually the patient!

Baby Talk

The first time I told Nick there was a baby in my tummy he got a very surprised look on his face and said "I want to hide in there!"

The first time we talked to the baby:
"Hello in there, It's mommy and Nick, we can't wait to meet you."
 Nick thought I said "we can't wait to "eat" you. and he said:
"mommy are we going to eat him?"

While talking to Chris one night, Nick pulled his shirt up and said:
"Daddy there's a baby in my tummy"


Just another funny thing.
