Sisters, Sisters, There were never such devoted Sisters!

Saturday morning I woke up at 4 am, got ready, and left for a 6 hour drive to Texas-All to see my wonderful sisters!!!!
I got there around 11. We had lunch, went to visit our cousin Tracy and her family, got pedicures and tried to watch Finding Nemo without falling asleep!!!! It was like a short little vacation!!
Sunday we took pictures by the "Mustangs" sooo HOT outside but well worth it!
We also went to "Sprinkles" a cupcake place and we had wonderful cupcakes-Well Alison and Katie did-mine was more like a muffin!!!

30 weeks and counting

I am 30 weeks now and am feeling it!
I have been bragging for months about how much energy I have and how I am never irritated or grumpy! Well that all changed this week!
I have been so tired! I sleep on my lunch hour, I sleep when I get home from work, I have a heck of a hard time getting up in the mornings!! Should I blame this on the 108 degree weather we have been having here?
I have been trying to atleast walk 1 mile each day and have succeeded so far this week! 10 weeks left to go-and hopefully less than that!!!
Gotta get some sleep now :-)

Two Rooms?

With all of the baby showers and bringing new things into the house-Chris and I decided we better start making better use of our space.
We started out by cleaning and organizing the storage rooms, then we decided to move his office into the other bedroom in the basement! Why we didn't think of this before-who knows! It is so much bigger and gives him a lot more space to put his Star Wars pieces!! This opened up the room he had before for....you guessed it-baby items!!!
We had often talked about doing a play room for Nicholas. I figured it wouldn't be done for a few years-when he is actually old enough to play! But with all the big items like the swing, jumper, and pack n' play we decided it was the perfect time and place to start! So Nicholas will have TWO rooms! One upstairs and one downstairs!
I think this is perfect because we spend a lot of time in the basement so it will be easier to have him right there!

My Favorite Couple-The dress the girl is wearing used to be brown with white polka dots-it reminded me of the dress Vivian wore in Pretty Woman!



The 2nd Couple I liked the 2nd best because of the color yellow!!



The 3rd couple I is in really good shape considering the blanket was used soooo much! I really like this couple as well-obviously not as much as the others though!



This purple border was the same color/fabric as my baby blanket! I can't believe how much it has faded over the years!

Elliott/Froese Baby Shower

Today was the Elliott/Froese Baby Shower! Chris's side of the family and mine!
I think we have an AMAZING family and I am so happy everyone was able to take part in this special time in my life! My mom stayed the night at my house and we got up early to get everything ready for the big day! It was so great to spend some quality time with her!
We received a lot of items and I LOVED every single item!!!
My Gramma (this is her 1st GREAT GRAND CHILD) made a baby quilt for Nicholas!!!
She made mine when I was a baby so this really meant a lot to me!!! I will try to post some pictures in the next day or so!

McDonald Cousins and Baby Shower

Yesterday my Aunt Paula threw a baby shower for me!
It was wonderful! It was so good to see my Grandma and Aunts and Cousins-and of course my sisters!! I am glad they could make it!

Boy!!!
At 13 weeks Chris and I went to the doctor to listen to the heartbeat for the 1st time!! The doppler the doctor used couldn't detect the heartbeat so she decided to do a sonogram to make sure everything was okay!
While we were looking at the monitor she asked if we were wanting to know the gender and we said "yes, but we know that won't be for a few weeks" She said "well I can tell you today"

We knew then it was a boy!!! Either girl or boy would have been a blessing but we were really hoping for a boy!!
